About the Essential Woman
The Essential Woman is a wellness concept developed by Janeica Davis, Melanie Hatchell, and Lauren Miura at the Spirituality Mind Body Institute at Teachers College, Columbia University. It recognizes that each of us has an essential self at our core — beneath cultural and societal conditioning, beyond the roles and responsibilities, and outside of the identities we take on throughout our lives. The essential self is our source of inner wisdom and our connection to something greater than ourselves. By reconnecting to our essential selves, we can practice living with more authenticity and intuition. @essentialwomannyc
